I grew up in Iowa City and lived much of my life before the age of 30 near or around the Iowa City/Cedar Rapids area. I saw some pretty high water from the rivers but never anything like this year's flood. There are some things you can't change or understand, just witness. To my friends up north, my thoughts are yours and I'm sorry I'm not there to stand with you. Please listen to my tribute to the flood victims, “Flood.”

I performed at Hillbilly Haiku House Concerts just outside of Nashville, TN, opening for Gurf Morlix. I enjoyed myself a great deal...I'm looking forward to playing two full sets on Saturday, August 16th. Ramcey was flat out terrific at his job and the sound was spot on.
