I grew up in Iowa City and lived much of my life before the age of 30 near or around the Iowa City/Cedar Rapids area. I saw some pretty high water from the rivers but never anything like this year's flood. There are some things you can't change or understand, just witness. To my friends up north, my thoughts are yours and I'm sorry I'm not there to stand with you.
